πΎ Why Sizing Matters
When youβre shopping for gear, apparel, or accessories for your giant dog, βXLβ doesnβt always mean extra large enough. Thatβs why we created this guide to help you choose products that fit comfortably and safely.
π How to Measure Your Dog
Use a soft measuring tape and record in inches or centimeters.
Measurement | Where to Measure | Used For |
Neck | Around the base of the neck where a collar naturally sits | Collars, harnesses, apparel |
Chest/Girth | Around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs | Apparel, harnesses |
Back Length | From the base of the neck to the base of the tail | Apparel, jackets, coats |
Height | From the floor to the top of the shoulders (withers) | Beds, ramps, gates |
Weight | Weigh your dog on a pet scale or at the vet | Sizing reference only; not precise for all products |
