“We’ll just do it ourselves!” That’s where we landed after countless searches for products and health advice tailored to giant breed dogs — only to come up short. Unlike most dog owners, those of us with giants know that standard sizing rarely cuts it. We’ve wrapped our big babies in horse blankets, put them in goat carts harnesses, and gone on wild hunts for true XXL gear that actually fits.
When your dog’s head is the size of another dog’s entire body, creativity becomes survival. You improvise, build, customize — only to discover later, buried in a forum thread, that someone found a ready-made solution on a niche site. It’s frustrating, time-consuming, and often expensive.
